Press release

Dresden, April 1, 2026 - While ERP and MES systems have long been standard in industry, the “last meter”—the actual execution of work on machines and assembly workstations—remains surprisingly analog. This is precisely where the newly founded Connected Worker Intelligence GmbH comes in: The Dresden-based company develops and operates the weasl platform, an AI-enabled connected worker and operations execution platform.

The company was spun off on April 1, 2026, as an independent entity from iSAX GmbH & Co. KG, a digitalization partner for manufacturing companies that has been established for over 25 years.

A Deliberate Move: Why Form a Separate Company?

The platform business surrounding weasl operates on a different logic than iSAX’s traditional project and service business. A separate company establishes clear lines of responsibility, accelerates product development, and lays the foundation for scaling, focusing, and expanding into international markets.

The company is led by Robert Büchner, who has helped drive the development of weasl from the very beginning, and Swen Hallasch, who joined with the explicit goal of positioning weasl and the company for sustainable growth.

“Connected worker is no longer just a trend—it’s the blind spot that industry and investors are discovering at the same time,” says Robert Büchner. “The independent company gives us the speed we need to seize this opportunity.”

Swen Hallasch adds: “The market for connected worker solutions is growing—but it won’t wait. The independent company is the prerequisite for us to build the right partnerships and structures now to support this growth.”

weasl bridges a significant digitalization gap

According to estimates, 60 to 80 percent of industrial value creation is still performed manually and receives only limited digital support in this area. The consequences are clear: errors due to missing or outdated instructions, reliance on the knowledge of individual employees, and incomplete documentation. At the same time, product variety, quality demands, and pressure from the shortage of skilled workers are on the rise.

weasl closes this gap. The platform connects people, machines, and data into a seamless execution system—serving as the link between the planning levels and what actually happens at the machine and workstation.

The platform enables:

  • standardized and traceable execution of work processes

  • context-based, real-time worker guidance

  • automated, audit-proof documentation

  • seamless integration of existing IT and OT systems

  • continuous improvement through AI-supported analysis

This creates an operational foundation that equally enhances safety, quality, and efficiency.

In customer projects, weasl has helped achieve, among other things, shorter throughput times of 20 to 40 percent and a reduction in errors of 30 to 50 percent.

No disruption for existing customers

For existing customers and partners, our operational collaboration remains unchanged:

  • ongoing projects and contracts will continue

  • iSAX remains the primary implementation and technology partner

  • existing support and operational models will remain in place

At the same time, customers will benefit in the future from:

  • clearly prioritized product roadmaps

  • faster development

  • targeted expansion in the areas of AI, integration, and analytics
