PECS-WORK and weasl combine expertise in IT/OT compliance and digital shop floor control
Experienced SaaS finance expert to strengthen financial governance and growth discipline during the company’s current growth phase
Dresden, July 8, 2026 – Since July 1, 2026, René Krasselt has served as Chief Financial Officer, assuming overall financial responsibility at Connected Worker Intelligence GmbH. In this role, he is systematically expanding the finance organization to prepare for the company’s next phase of growth, with a focus on robust SaaS governance and international scalability.
More than 25 years of experience in finance and profitable growt
Krasselt brings more than 25 years of experience in finance and operations to the table. At Communardo, he served as CFO for Germany for 14 years, driving the company’s profitable growth to over 250 employees and more than 85 million euros in revenue. Prior to that, he was a member of the executive board and head of project controlling at ARCADIS.
Krasselt takes a generalist approach and combines business acumen with operational expertise: SaaS governance, internal and external accounting, compliance, internationalization, and strategic topics such as M&A and corporate development are all part of his repertoire—experiences that are becoming immediately relevant in light of the recent spin-off of weasl into Connected Worker Intelligence GmbH and the international partnership with Nortal.
Focus on SaaS governance for the next stage of growth
At weasl, Krasselt is building robust structures to ensure maximum transparency, well-informed management decisions, and financial management that keeps pace with a scaling SaaS business. He is establishing the finance organization as a partner to all business units—with clear responsibilities, data-driven decisions, and close collaboration within the leadership team.
A strong foundation for further growth
Managing Director Swen E. Hallasch says: “With René Krasselt, we are gaining an experienced CFO with deep financial expertise and an excellent understanding of high-growth companies. His experience in building scalable structures and his pragmatic, entrepreneurial approach are a key factor in our success during this phase. René is a great asset to our team, both professionally and personally.”
René Krasselt, CFO of weasl, adds: “I’m excited about the opportunity to build a stable and robust financial administration at weasl. The market for connected worker solutions offers enormous growth potential, and weasl is in an excellent position thanks to its clear focus and a well-coordinated team. My task is to create reliability and predictability for customers, investors, and employees through solid financial structures, thereby laying the foundation for sustainable, scalable growth.”
